Job Title: Food Service Truck Driver
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Reports to: Food Service Supervisor
Dept./School: Food Service Department
Primary Purpose:
Under general supervision of the Cafeteria Manager/Director of Food Service responsible for loading food and delivering food items and cabinets to designated satellite schools. Maintain food cabinets and truck on a regular basis. Assists in production unit where needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Must hold and maintain a valid Driver's License with no major violations and meets or exceeds the state standards for driving
Valid Health Food Permit
Experience:
Experience in driving trucks with manual and/or automatic transmissions and must be able to lift 50pds or more.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Loading and delivery of hot and cold food cabinets to and from production unit for satellite schools.
2. Assist in loading food items into and out of hot and cold food cabinets.
3. Pull from freezer area and load cold plate blocks in cold food cabinets. Unload and return to freezer area in the afternoon.
4. Assist in getting stock from dry, refrigerated, or frozen storage areas for delivery to satellite schools.
5. Assist in maintaining orderly storeroom and stock areas; stocking shelves, rotating stock.
6. Clean hot and cold food cabinets inside.
7. Assist in mopping or cleaning up spills.
8. Assist in cleaning kitchen and dining area.
9. Following proper hygiene procedures that are necessary for the safe and sanitary handling of food.
10. Gas and maintain trucks as designated by supervisor.
11. Any job necessary for successful operation of the food service.
12. Maintain confidentiality of information.
13. Demonstrate skills in anticipating, managing, and resolving conflict.
14. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to provide for the security and care of district equipment, materials, and facilities.
15. Provide for the safety and well-being of students, peers, and self.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying; some stooping, bending, and kneeling; limited exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
